The Friends of the Baxter County Library aid in developing public understanding of the library and making it better known to the citizens of the community. Friends provide funds that would not otherwise be available through membership dues, special contributions, annual auction, and used book sales. The majority of the proceeds (99%) are used to benefit the library – purchase furniture, equipment, books and materials. Friends also provide the library staff with advanced training, education and appreciation rewards for their fine effort to keep the Library a “State of the Art” facility and source of pride in Baxter County. Friends donate their time and hard work in our various programs and services. Friends also encourage gifts of books and materials to the library.
